I recieved an order yesterday morning that I only placed the day before and was pleasantly surprised when these arrived, the 3 small ones were a package of 3 intermediate plants so I didnt know what I was getting the vanilla and miltonia I ordered specifically. the vanilla has variagated leaves which I didnt expect and my husband and I have fallen for it already, as we both have with the miltonia. the den. oligophyllum has a bud on it and the other two look healthy and happy.

Great order! You are going to love the Ang. dideri when it blooms. Flower will be as big as the plant! Must be something in the air, just got an order in yesteday myself. Max. picta, Bulb. echinolabium and another Odontoglossum wyattianum
Fantastic, I have definately run out of room now my husband has made me promise I wont buy any more orchids ( we will see but we are broke too so nothing for a while) I was shocked at the size of the miltonia I got it out the box and thought wow thats gorgeous then though Oh **** where am I gonna put it LOL I am so glad that the others he sent were miniatures or I'd have been in trouble, I dont think of these things when I order I just get excited at pages of beautiful orchids LOL
Congratulation Carrie! That is a great looking Miltonia -it is huge!
Cheers,
BD
WOW, Carrie, nice plants!!! This miltonia is gorgeous!!! Enjoy!!!
Must be the air....... I got an order yesterday too!
Thanks Bruce and Margo, I am still stunned at the size of the Miltonia LOL Its in isolation at the moment as the others are but I can still see it and enjoy the blooms it is lightly scented of roses, I meant to check it this morning when I got up to see if the scent was stronger as I couldnt detect it last night. We are concerned about the size the vanilla can grow to but we will work something out, and are looking into if you can prune it to keep it at a manageable size, we knew it grew big but Anne did some looking yesterday and found it can grow to 100ft which might be a little issue with not having a greenhouse for it to live in LOL
Great buy Carrie !! The Miltonia is simply astonishing !!
Hey Carrie,
You can totally prune the vanilla. The pieces you cut off can be rooted easily for trade too.
Cheers,
BD
Thank you Amey I love it also.
Oh Bruce that is just the news I wanted to hear, thank you so much. That makes it a lot easier to manage when it grows up. I am looking forward to it growing ( hopefully) just dont want a triphid that eats us in our sleep LOL
