    Default Physan UK members question

This question is mostly directed towards our UK members. Does anyone know where I can purchase the fungicide "Physan" here in the UK. Is it sold under a different name? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

You can get all the information at the manufacturer's website (www.physan.com). It has the label with the active ingredients. The product is a quaternary ammonia compound.

Old post i know ! But physan is no longer available in the UK as no one is willing or can afford to stump up the registration costs to be able to sell it .

I use Physan to clean the inside windows of my greenhouse. However, Clorox works just as well. I think that it would also kill fungus on orchids...however, I DO NOT know how much to put into how much water?! Maybe one of our other members knows that!? :-) Betty

I can't get Physan in Germany either so I have been trying household cleaners that advertise to be "mold-killing" - mold is a huge issue here. Most of them smell like bleach a bit. Hasn't hurt my plants yet but I'm not sure now successful I've been with the fungus. Something to try though?

Same issue with Murphy's Oil Soap. Mostly I've been using spray-one rubbing alcohol for most bugs where Murphy's treatment is recommended.
