I haven't been a fan of green orchid flowers until I saw your Siam Jade Raika.
Some time back I acquired a badly neglected plant that I will now be giving a little extra attention in the hope of producing flowers like yours.
Scrubber
Absolutely beautiful, I love it!
Hey, I am bumping this topic up again. I finally could lay my hands on Epc. Siam jade, but the picture from my vendor is a bit different., only its outer tepals are green, both the petals and the lip is white (the petals have a tinge of green). I searched the net, and I find both type of pictures, what exactly is it??
Amey, they are probably different clones of the same grex, ie they are both Epc Siam Jade grex, but two different clones, e.g. Epc Siam Jade 'Raika' as oppose to Epc Siam Jade 'Amey'
Some really good hybrids have multiple good clones which have been mericloned for trade, so you see a number of different clones of the same cross around... this is similar with Onc Twinkle which has the pink and also the yellow forms, and also check out the different clones of Cattleya purpurata (syn Laelia purpurata) which have different colour forms.
Thanks for the info Tim ! I will go ahead and buy that one then, it looks pretty cool.
