Ron, if that is your short list, I don't even want to begin my list! And that you can't even recall the empty basket deal.... you are definitely older than Tom and myself... combined!!!! You know I could help you with this recall problem you seem to have... after all I am a real Doc!

I've been watering a nearly dead seedling of C. aurantianca for months (I think it's dead), just as a matter of principle, as I was telling to myself that I can revive it. I've given up and took it out of its pot and dump it in a container of water (I'm not giving up actually!) at least I'll stop watering it and looking at it for some time

Let me see. About 3-4 weeks ago the sun came out with a vengeance and burned a lot of
    my orchids.

lots of noid dendrobiums (luckily only a few died).
Tricoglottis philippinensis (badly burned and then succumbed to fungus)
A noid Vanda, weak to start with, after 4 or so months in ICU, it finally gave.

the following are just a failure
Psychopsis papilio (the leaves just became mushy and died or so i taught until i saw a green nub growing),
now my newly acquired papilio is showing the same symptom. Maybe its just the light, so i moved it to a brighter spot.
A lot of Phalaenopsis, including intermedia, equistris and stuartiana. Just can't seem to get the culture right (Water and Light).
A few Paphiopedilums, same with Phals, getting a hard time providing the proper culture. The good thing is that I was able to rescue the new growths.
A lot of Dendrobium keikis, removed them too early from the mother plant, most probably.

All of these happened in the past 5-6 weeks.

    I killed Dracula!!!
I know I am not supposed to even think about having it, but...... it was on top of my wishlist forever so I gave it a try... Don't think I'll do it again. I am still watering it but I'm sure I am only waisting time and water...lol
Also Dend. lodiggesii went somewhere (I am thinking to heaven?!)
I have a few more but because they are still hanging in there I am not going to put them on the list yet.

Yay I'm not alone. I like this thread Even though I bet most of you have more like 100s of orchids & I've only had a handful. I've lost several noid phals. And a dend noid to virus. I stopped keeping track. Maybe 5 or 6 or so...

....I didn't just take the Phal...I also absconded with three Vandas, a Dend, and a Maxillaria. Just wait till Ron figures it out! ;-) No, but I laughed outloud at work today when I read that! So far, I am still on zero deaths! Wohoo!! But I do have a Miltoniopsis that I noticed is pissed off while I was watering tonight.
