Hey Guys- Here's a couple of places I grow my Orchids in the house. They really just fill up my rooms. I like having the plants around and close.
All looking great and happy!!! Thanks for sharing!
Hey Derek ! Cool looking grow space ! Nice tortoise in the pot ! ( Are you also into collecting tortoise/turtle figurines?)
Cool use of window space, makes me wonder why I am only using one window to grow my plants ... hmmm![]()
how do you water these and do you have any vandas, How do you water those? Looks nice
Sweet, Derek! Your plants look really healthy and happy.
Cheers,
BD![]()
Watering them is an exercise in patience. I take all of them off the tables and plant stands and walk them into the kitchen, where they all get watered twice a week. They are all planted in different medium, faster draining for the plants that like it dryer, up to 100% sphagnum (with river stones at the bottom) for the Doritis and some of the Phals.
So they all get watered, and then restacked on their shelves in reverse order from how they came off.
Optimum use of your window space! Just curious that they do not accidentally fall off. some of them seem to be pretty close to the edge. You have lots of patience!

@Halloamey--I actually have several turtle figurines, but have had them since my ex bought them many years ago.
@satishserikar--No, they don't fall off their spaces. The main windows actually have a nice desk from overseas underneath them, and that's where the biguns go. My small windows have a ledge about 4+ inches, which is perfect for the small ones that don't need as much light since they are mostly south and north shaded.
Maybe somewhere I have a picture of the desk from when I only had a couple of plants--before the plant stands, the victorian stands next the desk. Talking about this makes me want to see a before and after.
