    Default Aerangis articulata

Hello all! I know, I know, I have been MIA for awhile. Most of the time, I just have more going on than one person can handle.

This beauty is one of my personal favorites -- Aerangis articulata. For anyone who doesn't like white flowers (ahem) or who thinks species aren't worth growing -- I give you drum roll please . . . .

WOW WOW ! What a beauty !! Everyday I am falling more and more for these white beauties, especially these Aerangis and allied genera. The flowers might be small but their number and pure colour are worth !!! Great growing Sadie, the plant must be really happy to produce such a stunning display !

Woah! This is fanfreakingtastic! Is this difficult to grow/bloom? Do you have a close up of the flower?

navyderek -- they aren't that hard to grow and I don't do anything special to get them spiking. And they are wonderfully fragrant. They do need fairly bright light -- not full sun, but good consistent intermediate light. The spikes take FOREVER to grow, bud etc, but oh the anticipation. The roots do tend to rot, but just to be contrary they don't like to be repotted. So you either need to use a media that doesn't break down too much or mount them. I have both of mine in pots because I don't like big unweildy plants on mounts--just a personal preference. Here is a close up of the flowers, as requested.

Thanks for the pic update and the info. Caring for one of these would be interesting for me, I'm a big spaghnum guy due to the fact I water less times a week than many. But I def need one of these!
