A bagpipe drones in the not-too-distant distance. The tone settles and the chanter kicks in...
"Da-da-dum-dum-da-dum,
Da-da-dum-dum-da-dum,
Da-da-dum-dum-daah-dum, dum,
Da-da-dum-dum-daah-dum!"
(and many more, Maire!)

My nephew plays the pipes now for St. Thomas in Houston. His group won first place in Scotland over the summer.

OMG You're back!
Ok.... You've been lurking!!!! LOL!
Happy Birthday--hope it was a really good one!
Hi Máire,
I was over for the Worlds last summer and watched them win! Congrats - he must be a fine piper. I was also at Stone Mountain in Oct. where they played (I'm from Mass.) I was fortunate to win the East Coast Championship last year for my grade (out of 800 pipers), so I can appreciate how much he must practice with St. Thomas'. They're a wonderful band and the chance to play under Mike Cusack is amazing! Good on 'em!
