Thanks all. Larissa, my youngest is a very special little girl to me. Not that all my children aren't. She has a marvelous sense of humor and is my child that can let troubles roll off her back easily. She is bright, an athlete, (swimmer and lacrosse player) and wakes with a smile on her face. We have a special relationship that I cherish deeply.
The doctor didn't mention tumor at all. My wife and I are healthcare providers, so our education gives us more knowledge than the average parent. When we heard what hormone was elevated we knew what that meant.
My wife had taken her for the initial appointment and I took her yesterday for her to get more blood taken. The appointment was not scheduled to see her physician but I arranged to have her physician present so I could find out what hormones were checked, their levels, what other test I would like to see done and what direction I wanted her care to proceed in. I had never met this physician before. The doc asked me afterward what my background was. The cutest thing was, after the physician left my daughter said to me: Dad you sounded very intelligent. ...I had to laugh out loud and say...Why, did you think I wasn't?
I appreciate your thoughts, prayers and caring!

Ron- also sending positive energy from CO....be positive and keep being the great parents you are. This will be ok!
Ron,
Being a parent myself, I understand how hard it is to worry about your child's health. With strong mind and loving family/friends around you, you and your daughter will be OK. Hugs for you and your family!
Ron,
My thoughts are with you and your family at this very stressful time. I know the waiting is pure torture.
Hang in there, and know that you have untold friends here, who are praying for your precious child.
Sending you and your family positive energy and prayers. Keep you chin up Ron, praying that all will be well for you.

Wish sincerely all the best.
you can count on my best thoughts addressed to you and your family. Keep yourself strong
PS:
I understand what you mean about having knowledge above average. This also may have an opposite effect and make you wonder more than necessary. Have faith, this is what matters now
I wish her well.
