Thanks all! I've really been pestering my family and friends. They're all relieved I won it and won't be trying again! Still, all have orchids except for one friend who enjoys looking at the lovely photos and my friend Bob who's a landscaper in Bermuda and loves all things green.

The absolute best story comes from my piping teacher, Brian. He's pretty techie (so I thought) loves orchids and was very willing to join. Oh, did I mention that while very willing to help, he wantonly overcommits and can be quite disorganized. Not to mention he travels a lot and was in Scotland during the middle of the month.

I lobbed him a couple of e-mail reminders here and there. And guess when he sat down to register? 11pm on Jan 31st! So he goes to do it, but can't remember my forum name. He can't find the e-mail where I told him, so he tries every variation on my name. He probably even tried my birthday backwards... Finally he followed a link to a thread I thought he'd enjoy and a neuron fired and he realized I was Piper.

So then he registers. Now he has to follow the link in the e-mail he receives to complete his registration. But by now, it's like 11:55. So he's sitting on top of the send/receive button and it finally comes. The first link doesn't work. Tick, tock... The messages says if the first doesn't work, then try the second. So he tries the second link. Tick, tock. That works.

Then he signs in as a member and looks for something to post. The screen says, Welcome! You last visited: Yesterday. It was past midnight. So it was too late for him to get his five posts in, so he went to bed. Typical Brian!

Anyway, I'm off to boxstore today to look for more things to place along the windows (to make more shelf space.) Whatever you send Louis, I know it'll be a beauty!
