Amazing how "Ottara Hidden Gold" changes it's appearance. Two weeks ago when newly opened, I wore coral red, whereas now I have changed into the Hidden Gold outfit! Also one bloom became 3...(See my Post "unsure, tiniest
cattleya-like flowers" Oct. 16th for the coral outfit!)
Cheers, Michael

It is Ctna. Why Not x Bl. Richard Mueller. Bl Richard Mueller hybrids do these color shifts.
What an amazing transition !
Fantastic, Michael. Can't believe it's the same plant! What a bonus - it's like having two plants for the price of one. Must try to get one or another Bl Robert Mueller hybrid.
My Otaara Hwa Yuan Bay puts out buds but they dry up when about 1/2 inch in size. Could it be due to the fact that buds are not enclosed in a sheath? Any suggestions ? The weather at the moment is very wet and extremely humid.
