Danny, I hate to disappoint you... kill your excitment... etc etc, but this looks like a flower spike to me... (I might be wrong, but I doubt it).

Well I posted a few weeks back saying I wished my dend would grow a keiki...ask and you shall receiveAny idea when roots will start to form?

I had wondered lol. But it is growing so slowly, has a bulge at the bottom, and doesn't look like the last spike did. And it looks identical, if slightly larger, to a growth at the base that is starting as a new cane. But time will tell![]()

I have one of mine spiking now and I can go and take a picture to show you. Looks just like yours. The first time when one of mine had spike like this one I thought is a keiki too, but I got two spikes growing from the same growth. Then another one had the same growth and formed two spikes also (both in bloom now). Now I have another one and I am hoping for two spikes too!
Lol two spikes would be a bonus!!!
Hey Danny:
Tomorrow I send you a pic of the keikis on my Den.
Dail
It looks like a spike to me too. Keikis don't often come off the top of a stalk.
