Hello, Armrest, do you have to do something called replating? How are your flasklings coming along? We'd all like to know...

Hey makmak you could probably find this info via the net. There are a couple of formulas that you could conjure up with. One of the very first and earliest known solutions is called Knudson C.

FYI Also my breeder-friend has been successful in his experiment using a commercial orchid fertilizer as a substitute formula in his culture media solution in order to be able to cut down on the costs. I just do not know as to what the exact percentage/proportions are that he has used.

    Hello Armrest,
Did you adjust pH of the media?
    Thanks.

    Hi everyone!

It's been awhile since I've been here so I apoligize for being away for so long. I hope that you all have been doing great. I wanted to give you guys an update on my baby phal Coco. I wasn't brave enough to attempt the scientific process of flasking it myself so I mailed the seed pod to a professional lab about 6 months ago. I heard back from the owner today and....we have progress! I'm happy to report that both the Mom and Dad plants are doing great and are both re-blooming as we speak. I've attached photos so it'll give you an idea what the babies will look like. I will probably end up with about 20-25 plants and won't be able to keep them all. I'll donate some to our local botanical garden and will probably be able to send some to you guys too after the seedlings are large enough to mail

Hi Armrest, any new update on your flasks? I have some seed pods around 15 from my Phal. stuartiana, 7 from my schilliriana ad 9 from the philippinensis. I am quite eager to know how to go about this procedure.

    Thanks!
