Whaaaaat is this???????
They call this lemon, Buddha's hand, right?
(or fingered citron)
a new one for me...very cool!
You're right Lambert. It is the Buddha Hand citrus and have been used by the Chinese for its medical properties. Here in Malaysia it is extensively grown in the Cameron Highlands, altitude 4000 ft. It is then sliced up and made into a sort of preserved fruit and then, sold as snacks.Delicious and good for long journeys to keep one awake while driving.
We also import preserved bergamot from Australia and it tastes the same.
They have them in stores here in Brooklyn from time to time.
Never bought any because I didn't know how to prepare them or what to do with them.
(if it tastes like bergamot, then I will get some next time I see them! Delicious )
Thanks Yew for all the info.
wow thats something new to me....
Wow very cool. I would love to try it.
That is cool. Nice call, Laurent-- and thanks for the information, Yew.
Cheers,
