Great looking plant! Can hardly wait for you to share pics of the blooms. I love plants that have a sentimental history attached to them. Thanks for sharing. Bill

I've raised this plant since it was barely more than a nub of a new cane growing on the original plant. The parent one died a long time ago but I was able to salvage the newest little cane from it with a couple roots. That was over five years ago, maybe six or seven even. I know that other people who could have had more favorable conditions for orchids the whole time might have gotten it to bloom faster than this, but I'm still excited for this first bloom! I thought it was a Burana Jade before, but the darker colorarations on the buds don't looks very close to some of the pictures of burana jade that I've looked up. I guess it will be a surprise!

Great job! Couple more days and we'll see the blooms!!! Congrats and keep us updated!
Well done raising that plant up to maturity and seeing it bloom after so many years. I think the longer it takes, the more exciting it gets! I'll be waiting for the buds to open too. Cheers Eric
Congratulations
Hey! That is awesome. Nice growing!! I look forward to the bloom photos too.
Cheers,
