    Default identify these orchid plants

Does someone know what this is? This is the first time it has bloomed and has three large shoots with multiple buds on them coming out. Remember I live in the real tropics, so not a temperate plant.

    Thanks

    Default identify please

Here's another one I would like identified. It has a beautiful fragrance, small flowers, vanda like leaves. I just attached it to an ylang ylang tree.

    Anyone?

    Thanks

Connie- the second one looks like it could be a cross of some sort between an asocendrum and a rynchostylus (spelling on both of those questionable, and too lazy to go check)

Beautiful little flowers and the perfume is wonderful!

The first one looks like Cymbidium aloifolium and the second could be as you suggest but it does have some Aerides in the cross by the lip formation.

I didn't think cymbidiums grew in tropical weather? Thanks for the info. I didn't think it would ever flower. It has been hanging there for several years now and all of a sudden, blooms. Interesting flower, not like anything else I have.

Yes. I would agree with Roy. It does have some Aerides in it.

Agree with Roy on first picture too; Cym. aloifolium, I used to have one of those, the leaves are very thick and fleshy and blooms when the weather is hot and humid. The cascading flower panicle can be as long as a metre.

Roy is right, the first picture is a Cymbidium. I also live in the the tropical climate zone (Thailand) and we also have this cymbidium growing here; it's name is CYMBIDIUM FINLAYSONIANUM; the large bloom cymbidium varieties are the ones that thrive in cooler zones.
The second photograph looks very much like an AERIDES Orchid (I have the pink white variety here).

    Cheers, Michael
