    Default phal seedlings into s/h

Hello! I recently received a bunch of bare root phal seedlings.
I thought I would go ahead and pot them s/h even though there wasn't any new root growth I could see. It looks like they were originally in sphag before they were shipped to me.
I am wondering if the constant moisture is causing them to rot? Maybe their crowns are too close to the medium and getting too moist?
Any advice would be appreciated! I don't want to be a phal seedling murderer!
Some of the seedlings appear to be doing fine, but I've attached a photo of the most severely affected plant. What do you think?

    Thanks!

    hi cody,
im not an expert on phal seedlings, but i have a few and they look just like yours. im guessing its normal for the older leaves to turn brown/yellow and falling off, roots look ok though. the moisture should be fine too, just make sure there is some kind of an airflow around the plants.
