When you water do you let it sit in the water for a period of time or dunk and pull out. The bark was not soaked overnight. It was a suprise purchase and was tightly packed with moss that was dripping wet. I thought I'd better get it out of there. The roots look great, and I just put it in some bark I had in the shed to free the roots from the saturated moss. What would be the best way to find out what variety of phals I have?
    thanks again,
    Kathy

Soak in water for about 10 or 15 minutes, then pull it out to drip and stick it back in its window. There are so many hybrid phalaenopsis plants out there, you may never know the name of it for sure, but when it blooms you will learn if you have a harlequin (spotted) one or a plain one.

I guess I have 2 harlequins. A purple one as shown in my previous photo and a yellow one with 5 petals in the shape of a daisy. I'm just curious. Thanks for the specifics on the watering.
