    Sorry I can't help out with seeds. I don't think I've ever even seen bromeliad seeds myself.

    Hopefully someone has an answer about the pups. When my husband bought his bromeliad, the bract was fully formed, and, if memory serves me, the pup had already started.

    Just after blooming they will rest for a while and then if temperatures are conducive they will start forming pups, if the temperatures are very low they will stay in the rest phase.
