    Default My first ever Cattleya in Bloom

    I do not know much about cattleyas since I have never had one in my life, but the sales lady was very convincing at the greenhouse, so I bought this about a month ago with a spike and the first bloom just opened today. I don't think it is fully open but I really love the color!

    P.S. sorry for the ugly cement background of the Orchid room

    Stunning color! And, don't worry about the background--this way there's nothing to distract you from the flower in the photo. So, how long will it be until you get your second Catt?

    Thanks for the comments guys.. I actually didn't like Catts before I got this one(I am very easily convinced by sales people when it comes to Orchids he he he ). Rob, I am sure I will get other Cattleyas. I want one with the really big flowers...I guess I need to research them a bit more before

    My next purchase will be a larg Cymbidium as I already have a mini one, but for the large one, I have the perfect spot prepared for it at home. I should find blooming ones in Feb in my area. I just can't wait!
