    Default Longwood Garden's Winter Orchid Display

    Here are some pictures of the winter orchid display at Longwood Gardens in Delaware. I spent Valentine's Day there with my partner. He enrolled me in an orchid photography class for beginners. I learned alot but need to remember to focus, no pun intended, on photographing the orchid and not getting so excited about looking at them that I revert to just aiming and clicking. I will show pics of the Orchid House and some shots of individual orchids in other posts.

    Now on the level... Bill, do you know what temperature they had the winter garden at? And where was the light source?

    I am sneaky when it comes to orchids and can manage to get in too all types of places. LOL The light is natural in the display areas. Very large glass conservatories. Due to all the different plants and the humidity the temps were in the very high 60's to low 70's.
