I would like to share a pictures of Papilionanthe vandarum, native to North India, China and Myanamar.
Is it an alba form? How long does it last and any fragrant?
It's not alba form. Pipilionanthe vandarum natural color is white base with various shade of pink blush!! It's very beautiful, and the flowers kinda have long spur like Aerides (which the specie was previously group it in).
It's the easier Pipilion species to grow out side of tropic bc it originate from the highland and doesn't require 12hr sunlight like teree or hookerianum!!
oh nice, strange and fascinating bloom!
Zainal, the flowers just opened and are not fragrant. I hope they stay for long time.
Wonderlen, you are right the base colour is white. I have still 4 another species, but until now only wandarum and cylindrica have showed flowers to me, but I can wait.
I love this one! They look like little dancing men! Would you say this is a particularly difficult orchid?
