[IMG] links

For the folks who have been linking to pics on other websites using the IMG tag button in your editor, for some reason after I re-indexed all the threads on here, those photos wouldn't come in. The links still work, but not from inside the IMG tag.

I'm trying something in this post; can you folks help me out? I'm putting in three pics using the IMG tag, 1 gif, 1 jpg, (both from this site) and 1 jpg from Prem''s site. Can you all tell me what you do or don't see? There should be one of our logo, one of a paph we just registered ( Paph. RVO Blushing Dancer) and one of Prem's Clowesia. Thanks!

All I see is our logo, the gif image. The jpegs aren't coming in for me at all.

If that's all you folks are seeing too, I have a feeling that our latest security update blocked the remote loading of JPG images because they can now carry viruses and trojans, (what doesn't anymore???) but let me know.....

Ok, I just dumped my browser's cache, and I'm seeing the two pics from our site, but still not the Clowesia. This is very weird.

From a different computer on our network, all three pics are coming in.

I'll turn the IMG tag back on in all the boards; obviously this is an LJA issue and not a forum issue.

I see all 3 , I wonder if using photo bucket to link to , the picture was deleted from thier site ? link will work but no pict. just a guess . Gin

It was a browser setting. In Firefox, I had apparently changed the security to only load images from the originating website.

If this is happening for anyone else using Firefox, check under Tools > Options > Web Features and make sure that the Load Images "For the originating website only" check box is unticked.
