Tips on how to repot my oncidium

My questions are should I increase the size of the pot (because it is already 7 inches) or just change the medium. Should I snip or try to bend the mass of arial roots or leave them be? Also, this plant seems to be growing upwards, is that a good thing and how is that going to affect the placement of the plant in the new pot? Any help would be awesome thanks a bunch!

This seems like good advice in this particular case. From the picture it looks to be pointing in a few different directions, with clear places to divide the orchid. It looks like you'd have two+ smaller divisions and one larger one. Either pull these disparagate sections apart, or cut them with a very sharp knife down at thick section under the psuedobulbs. Then pot them into much smaller pots, pushing as many roots down into the mix as you can, trimming off the dead ones.

or get them some parachutes?
If you soak the roots most aerials will become pliable and you'll be able to squish em into pots if you're of the mind. Also don't worry too much cause a healthy root system isn't necessarily a LARGE root system. I think i read on AOS that divisions don't need that much length of root. Also make sure you get some cinnamon glue goo ready so you can paste up any cuts you gotta make.
