Cin
Can't find it up here in northern Indiana. Love the stuff and think it would be a great use of ambient light in my basement. Have to look for it.
Thanks for the welcome molly....i moved to lakeland...it seems alright for now...i have to get acquainted with the area as well as the weather...
Lakeland looks nice Andrew there are a couple of orchid vendors up there. We haven't explored up that far yet. It is hot here early. We have never had our AC on in May before. We will see what the summer and the oil spill has in store for us.
true that Molly, things are definitely a changin....the oil spill makes me very sad being an environmental activist...anyhow if you know of more venders around the area i would love a PM....on the other hand i didnt notice a scent at all after smelling about 15 flowers..lol..hmmmmm
A local (S.E. Queensland, Australia) orchid nursery that specialises in Vanda alliance orchids, use Spanish moss extensively around all their Vanda alliance plants that they grow in hanging baskets.
Never really asked why but I believe it is to help keep the humidity up. They also have shallow trenches full of broken rock beneath each row of hanging orchids that fill with water, presumedly for the same reason.
Does it work?
