when I sniff some smell and don't see any flowers, I always check Till.usnoides. The fragrance is very nice.

Neat pictures to see in this thread! I have been trying to grow some spanish moss for about a little over a month. I bought it live at my local orchid society show to put around my blooming orchids in their decorative pots. I now have it in my orchidarium where the humidty is high....it was draped across the flooring, which is a plastic grating, but it was starting to turn brown in spots. So I decided to hang it, but it still doesn't look much better. I've been trying to water it once a day. Maybe there isn't enough air movement for it in the orchidarium? I have a small amount outside of the orchidarium decorating a pot where the humidity is around 50% and that small bunch seems to be doing much better. Does anyone know what is causing my spanish moss to turn brown?

You are right about air movement. If it sits in water or even on the ground, it will turn brown. The best way to grow it is to hang it. Good luck, Becca. Nice to see you here again too.

    cheers,

Hang it, like I have done with my vandas, plenty of light and water and the next thing you know you have to get rid of some of it as it takes over. The second photo is of the three sizes of the moss

Hello Ruta, yes it does grow well in Pune, you just need to keep a high humidity.

I have loads of it behind the house in oak trees. A few months after each good storm that blows through I have it sprouting all over the shade house from seed being blown around.
