I finally decided to cut off the top of this plant since it was already more than 6 feet long and started twisting its way up the double flowered pomegranate tree, its double spikes of blooms partly hidden from view and entangled amongst the branches of the pomegranate. I've been planning to cut it for some months now but I was afraid that the constant blooming may be affected. The top cut is some 3 feet long and full of leaves along its length, with a lot of healthy roots too. I hope it will still be blooming at a similar rate. Oh well, let's wait and see.

Taken about a year ago. Double spiking as is the norm for this plant. And it produces double spikes 10 times a year. Notice the branches of the pomegranate overhead and the leaves of the ponkan citrus tree behind it.

Yes Catttan, double spikes around 10 times a year and then single spikes around December and January. This plant puzzles me.

Angel - any way you would part with a division form that lovely orange vanda now?

It has to be an ascocenda ( what was ! ) i.e. Its got ascocentrum curvifolium or a similar species in its background to give that orange colour.
Nowadays, of course, as a result of a collective act of lunacy by scientists playing wth their new toy ( dna sequencing on the cheap ) they are all vandas.
