The top cut is some 3 feet long and full of leaves along its length, with a lot of healthy roots too. I hope it will still be blooming at a similar rate. Oh well, let's wait and see.
Any recent pictures of this beauty?

Taken about a year ago. Double spiking as is the norm for this plant. And it produces double spikes 10 times a year. Notice the branches of the pomegranate overhead and the leaves of the ponkan citrus tree behind it.

JVB hybrids are well-known for their free flowering habit and floriferousness , but 10 times a year ? - yours is an exceptional clone !!!

Yes Catttan, double spikes around 10 times a year and then single spikes around December and January. This plant puzzles me.

It has to be an ascocenda ( what was ! ) i.e. Its got ascocentrum curvifolium or a similar species in its background to give that orange colour.
Nowadays, of course, as a result of a collective act of lunacy by scientists playing wth their new toy ( dna sequencing on the cheap ) they are all vandas.
