Hi Everyone...I don't know if this is in the correct place, but here is a picture of one of my first mounted orchids. It is an encyclia species called encyclia cochleata. The larger "mother" plant is on the left. The smaller one that I mounted even has a spike, so I know it is doing O.K. Betty

Very nice Betty and it seems to be doing very well, mounted. Congrats.

I think Encyclia cochleata has now been reclassified as Prosthechea cochleata.

Thanks everyone, It nice to receive compliments! I enjoy not only the flowers, but watching the growth on my orchids. I didn't realize until lately, that my water is deficient in magnesium. Now, I am putting it in plain water once a month when I don't fertilize. Makes a difference in their growth. :-) Betty
