I'm so excited...My very young cattleya landate is blooming. It's sweet smelling also! Wish everyone could smell it...Betty :-)
Those always smell wonderful! Pretty!
Looks wonderful Betty!! I would love to smell it.
Cheers,
BD
That's a beautiful flower, Betty. I have a couple of hybrids of that plant. How old is the plant? I wonder if one may bloom it in the house under lights, which is how I have my orchids?
Thanks, Gita. I actually got it this last winter...but it did grow a lot. I did keep it in the house, not under lights, but in my breakfast nook, where it gets only slight morning sun. I sure that it would do great under lights...Try it! Betty
I thought you might have been growing it in the greenhouse. Didn't know you could grow it and bloom it so soon on the window sill. I think I will look for one.
It is a wonderful flower. This plant is also good as a parent for crosses.
Betty, the orchid looks great. Not to break your chops, but how tall is the stem and what does the flower measure ? You can't tell by looking at a picture. -- Pat
Hi Patrick, The landate is three & a half inches in width; and from the media to the top of the flower is nine and three-fourths inches tall. Betty :-)
