What are this brown spots??? is it something bad
so i'm guessing no one knows what this spots on the leaves are???
I get spot similar to this as well as the ends of the paph leaves turning brown as though they had a bacterial problem but it is too much food and the minerals build up in the medium and the leaves turn brown. Since I've been doing more wash outs things seem to have improved. I can't say for certain this is your problem.
well, it had them when i bought and it was suppossed to be fungus free and it got worse after i repotted into s/h so its probably too much fertilizer lol, Is there also a way to make my paph grow roots??? and how long does it take the new grow to get bigger, it seems that its been the same size since i bought it and its been about 3 months. Thanks for replying =)
Paphs are slow growing plants... anyway for me they are slow. You can try something like Hormex, Essential Plus, KLN or Superthrive to help stimulate root growth. I have used the 1st two and have found them very helpful. Others say they have never seen any difference.
i have been trying KLN and DynaGrow for the past month and i dont see any development of roots or anything. I will wait and see if anything happens
Goodluck...!! Watching an orchid get something like that is like having a kid with chicken pox
yeah but i dont think its something bad because its not spreading or anything and i have seen alot of paph getting this brown spots so its probably burns from too much vertilizer. I hope its just a burn and nothing serious
Patience is a virtue...it'll come around with the growth...as for the spots. One of mine had it and the two new growths don't. It was something the grower did when i bought it but wasnt transferred to the new growth....i say its either sun or fert.
Or another thought is that it could just be bruising .... kinda like a banana.....
