I purchaced this plant 5 years ago, and bloomed it for the first time this year. I was dissapointed in the colors, and am thinking it is an alba form, or a miss labled hybrid.

I'm not familiar either, but way-cool flower...I like the blushing purple.
I'm certainly no expert, but I have grown encyclias for many yrs. Does the flower have a sweet smell, and what is its width? How many flowers on the stem? How tall is the stem? Betty :-)
Did you see this thread: Enc. adenocaula Ron-Ny grows his in bright light on a mount.
Cheers,

Yes, Bruce I did read that thread. I, also grow my encyclia ceratistes on a mount, in bright light. It is in the greenhouse, starting to bloom with over a hundred thirty flowers.
