Default an Orchid ID is needed.......

Well this is embarassing! I lost the tag for this one. Hopefully someone here will be able to help...............

This one is a species -- that much I know. It is a true mini -- only about 2 inches (5cm) from the base to tip of the longest leaf. Flowers are small ... this entire flower head has about the same diameter as a quarter. The color is almost accurate (the purples need to be a bit darker). Sorry the pic of the flowers isn't sharper. Had trouble getting the camera to get at least one flower entirely in focus.

Check on Macroclinium. Color and markings are variable for some species.

I think it is M. dalstroemii

Fascinating orchid. Not commonly seen in collections.Never seen one myself. Checked up on Tom's advice and agree that it is a Macroclinium. Thanks Tom.
