This plant needs a lot of space in order to get the rhizomes mature and to give them a great bloom.

I believe it's the ginger root that is used to flavor curry. I began to use it when we lived in Hawaii...Betty :-)
Thank you, Desiree. Striking it is, both in color and size. Of good substance too. Perhaps you could grow these in your area if it isn't too cold there. It likes wet and warm weather.
