The Philippine Orchid Society is currently holding its midyear show at the
Manila Seedling Bank Foundation, we were able to find time to visit the event.
Took a lot of photos.... was able to buy a few plants and most importantly
potting supplies... here's the photo that I took, sorry for the crappy shots
I suck at photography...

thanks randy, looks better than the last one.
I agree. This years' mid-year show is a disappointment!
The orchid shows way back in the 1980's were, in my opinion, the BEST and most FABULOUS ever in the history of Philippine Orchid Shows!
I like most the Phal. amabilis Sabah, on the last photo.

Since I was working in Manila when there is an event like this, I only look for rare plants. I get bored when I look the setting the same as the previous years. I still missed the shows even they are boring, looking over new friends or orchid hobbyists sharing stories and information.
i was also able to visit the on going POS mid-year show, and this was my first time, i was amazed of those orchids being shown. but i think there is something lacking about the show, maybe because there are only a few participants and i kept on wanting more.
If the current POS present board would not like to see your comments !
Actually , based from several years of being a non-member and a member of the POS . The show exhibit is gradually shrinking even the quality of the participants are slowly shrinking .
Most of the appeal are not the young people but mostly retirees and oldies.
The biggest NEWS in the 64th Mid-Year Orchid and Garden Show was the lost of more than Php 200,000 worth or plants from 3 to 4 garden stall holders.
Some say that it might be an inside job?????
wow thats a lot of loss....
