    Default Miltonia flavescens

Miltonia flavescens is a very common orchid in Misiones, Argentina. Sadly people take them off the trees to sell them. They are found in Brazil, northern Argentina and Paraguay. It has two leaves per pseudobulb, and very thin roots. They flower if they have plenty of light and humidity and some sun.

It's very unusual to have them flowering where I live (maybe because of the ocean?) so this is my only picture:

It was my first orchid! They are amazing. It's a shame flowers do not last a lot.

    Some other off the Internet:

As it says in the footer, has a pretty big amount of them (I doubt it's only one that big, haha), and probably this bunch of orchids would not be found nowadays because they probably got stolen and sold.

I hope the page doesn't get stretched out for you! Looks fine in my 1024x768.

Lovely blooms Paula.I like the floriferousness of this miltonia. My Milt Purple Queen ( spectablis x russelliana ) also grows as rampant and robust as the flavescens in your last picture but only has 2 flowers per spike.
