    Default Photo diary of my forest trip to see Orchid (yes, i was trying to mimic cxcanh)

    I tried to mimic cxcanh to try to find orchids in the forest, but then, I forgot that Singapore do not have much primary forest left, so I went into some vegetation that remotely looks like any forest. Well, this is what I found...No orchids though....


    Nepenthes ampullaria

    Nice try vincent in trying to find orchids ....

    Although those nepenthes growing in situ look great!

    Hi Vincent nice shot, I like Nephentes refflesiana, I still remember when I was at the age of 6 years old in year 1971, I was leaving in Bukit Batuk Singapore, I went to the hill I saw many nephentes there. Near by to my house there used to be an orchid farm mainly hybrids, I dont know whether it still exist, If the forest still there I believe there must be some grounds orchid may be you can find here.

    Bukit Batok has changed a lot and I do not think that there are any parts of the land that has more than a few trees in one cubic meter. However, its still easy to find Spathoglottis, Arundinia and Cymbibiums around...

    Nice shots of the nepenthes. To find orchids in Spore why not try to photograph the ones growing on the roadside trees ? A sort of 'Diary of the urban jungle'.
