Nice blooms you got there. I would like to have one of those blue dendrobiums.

Recently a friend gave me a dendrobium which he described as a new trend in Thai dendrobium breeding, that is trying to breed blue dendrobiums. Most of the so-called 'blue' were of the spatulata section but this one, he said was more towards the phalaenanthe with a fuller shape. It has recently bloomed and I am quite pleased with it.

What an intense color. This would look wonderful next to Mary's orange BLC I saw in another thread.LOVE this one!

I don't grow dends, (only have one) BUT THIS I LIKE! Betty :-)
WOW! I love all the different purple shades on one flower! I guess you don't have the exact name? I would love to track that one down!
Beautiful den you got there
I have a large den that has flowers very similar to this...mine tends to be more of a purple than a blue...more violet overtones. I like the color of yours....
I think there's still some way off from producing a 'blue' dendrobium, may be 2 or 3 or more generations away. I hope I may be able to see a good blue in my lifetime. Luckily dendrobes mature quite fast from sowing to blooming. At the moment I'm quite pleased with Sakol Blue. Yours sound like one of the purple phalaenopsis-type dendrobes that are very attractive too.
Awesome colour and form ! A blue phalenopsis type dendrobium is a dream come true !! Congrats Yew !!
