Was leaving the place, my eyes still crazy looking for something and then high up on tree. dont what sp. seems doing very good with so many air roots
on journey back, saw fallen branches by road side, went to check and luck was on my side. there were wild orchids on them! got to save them you know
became sort of greedy, went searching for some more on ground and found this-orchid too?
Very interesting pictures,, Abiom. You and Zainal have really showed me how much I have missed out on the fun exploring parts of our jungle. But thanks for bringing back the memories of what I used to enjoy in my younger days. Ahh to be young again.......... Thank you and Zainal for the posts.
Cool lantern bug, Abiom!! Loving all of your photos. Very nice!!
Cheers,
BD
nice pix! your yellow flower is a Thrixspermum sp.
Unfortunately, no. In those days I had only a Mamiyaflex C3, a big bulky twinlens reflex that weighed nearly 5 lbs and not really suitable to carry around on jungle jaunts. However I do have a few pictures (salvaged from my album which was borrowed by a friend - that's another story) of a fishing trip to Ulu Terengganu in 1974, before the Kenyir Dam was built. One of the pictures lost from the album was of a clump of Gram speciosum, some of which must have been at least 15 feet long. I might post some of these pictures one of these days.
