Default Burrageara Stefan Isler 'Lava Flow'

About 33 buds and flowers on the two spikes - one from each of the two leading bulbs. Natural spread 6 x 5 cm.
I also have a sibling clone - "Burning Embers" and can't see any difference. I think orchid trraders sometimes make these names up so as to try ( successfully) to sell me something I haven't alread got, except that I have...
Never mind, its a bright and cheerful thing . Like most of these oncidium multi-generics does well in S/H especially if taken out and dried off for a few weeks after the flowers, and before the new growths start , although when growing really well, there is always a new growth somewhere..

    Geoff,
You certainly are right about when the intergenics are doing well there is almost always some new growth threatening to flower! But when they are not doing well...I have to let them dry out really well between watering unless they are in flower. Yours is gorgeous! Hot colors is right! Keep it up!

looks a bit like my oncidioda charlesworthii, although its sepals/petals are slightly narrower than yours and they arch back behind the flower. And its pink, cant forget colour lol
it has the same flowering habit by the looks of it too. tiny flowers, but lots of em.

I think that's a bit of a stretch ! Here is a pic of the true Oncdda. Charlesworthii - and my plant came from Charleworths many, many years ago ( they went out of business years ago) - a nice firm, but they were growing orchids in a 19th century way in the 20th century....the left hand side shows the plant with my lawn as the background, and the right hand side with the palm of my hand behind the flowers to show their size better.

Great looking red, Geoff. I have this one as well and sometimes it is more red and others it is more brown. It seems to depend on the temperature when it is blooming.

    Cheers,
    BD
