Geez, I dunno Kev,
I *think* the oldest was always at the top and one had to scroll down for the responses.
Cheers,
Rob

As of tonight, whenever I check the New Posts and look at a particular thread the original post appears first followed by all the responses. I thought I used to see the latest reply first? Now I have to scroll down to see the latest reply. It hasn't always been this way, has it or did I somehow change how the thread and its responses appear? Help!

I've never seen the newest listed first. If you figure that out, share the how-to. Thanks!

I just figured it out, but I don't remember having to do this before. Oh well.
When you look at new posts, there's a column labeled Last Post. It gives the date and time of the last post and the person who made the last post. Right after their name is a: > . If you click on that it will take you to the most recent reply. Don't click on the persons name or it will take you to their profile.
Kev, what are you doing up so late???
also, if you don't log in and enter as a guest, the 1st msgs come up first...
Cheers
Tim
If you go to your UserCp, click on Edit Options, on the left. In the page that comes up, scroll down almost to the bottom, to Thread Display Options. Under Thread Display Mode, you can choose out of several different ways you want threads and posts to come up for you when you're logged in: linear oldest first, linear newest first, threaded, or hybrid. Try the different ones to see what you like best.
There's a way to set your preferences so that the latest post is first or last. Check 'UserCP'. It might be there.

Yup...
Go to 'User CP'. On the control panel on the left, under 'Settings and Options', select 'Edit Options'. Scroll down the right side of the page to 'Thread Display Options'. The setting you want is 'Thread Display Mode'. The help page explains all your choices.

I'm not up late, I'm up early. I get up around 4 am. I like mornings and like to do the gym thing first thing.Originally Posted by bench72
