Just beautiful Zain. I do hope I'll have the opportunity to spend some days in such an environment soon too. Great photos!

What a fantastic place with so many orchids, Zainal. Don't tell me it's in Melaka!I'm glad to see that such a place ,rich in orchid species still exists there.

A place near my house here in Jitra called Bukit Wang used to be full of wild orchids. In the 1960s I brought a group of orchid enthusiasts to the place and we spotted no less than 20 different species including the quite hard to find Phal fasciata. Alas it has now been developed into a picnic and recreation area and most of the trees along the roads and paths have been stripped bare of orchids.

I don't believe I have ever been in a tropical rain forest. These photos were both enjoyable and illuminating to me. Thanks for the thread.

Yew, In Melaka very difficult to find orchids like this unless you go to Asahan ( Mount Ophir) border between Johor and Melaka. Sad to hear that I agreed with you most of the picnic and recreation area due to massive logging for the development of resort and chalet many orchids species need to be scarified, my worried is for the future our next generation they are not capable to see the natural habitat for the wonderful, lovely orchids in nature anymore.

Salam, watch up when you go to waterfall make sure not during the rainy season (like avalanche) and the slippery rock very dangerous. May your family will enjoy it take care.

P1 to P3 Coelogyne pandurata encircling the tree together with bulbo. Maybe this tree have something that offered the orchids grow very happily there.
    P4- wild berries.

neat! a large proportion of these look VERY similar to our own drymoanthus species, or fleshy tree orchids. these grow upside down so the water runs off them. perhaps this proportion are of the same family or subtribe?
