    Default Brassavola nodosa

Very strong fragrance especially at night. Some call this "Lady of the night".

This orchid is fragrant at night because it is pollinated by a night moth.

The plant can sense light so if you grow this in your home and do not shut the lights it will not put out a fragrance until 'after dark' not just at night.

Very nice! For some reason, those don't do well around here. There is a type of bug that attacks almost every Brassavola type I've bought. I have to be very pro-active to keep them alive. I love them though...your's has obviously been raised well. How often do you water yours?? Maybe I don't water them enough...

The watering regime is the same as cat. I water them once a day. But I think it is more of the climate than anything else that makes this so easily grown here. Goodluck and thanks for the comments Connie .
