Beautiful plant. I love the exotic ones. Would it be possible to put a few more bits of info in the about me section? It's important to know humidity, temperature and light source, daylight or under lights. I ---was surprised to learn their humidity is often 95% and heat 30 to 40 C. Yow! I'm 68 and 58! My plants won't see those conditions until 6 months from now.

Wow! That is looking great! My Bulbo medusae is in bud right now. This will be the first time for me to bloom it so I am pretty excited. Love this one.

    Love it, Vincent!

Bruce, I have a medusae that is not showing any signs of a bloom. Is there something that triggers their blooms that I am not doing?

I am not sure, Jonada. I am growing mine in a basket with very little media. I keep it moist and it gets very bright light. The temps currently in the greenhouse go from a low of about 55 to a high of about 70 (if the sun comes out!!). The bud spikes have been developing over the last month or so. We feed about once every two weeks during the cold part of the year and once a week during the warm part of the year. Since this is my first time to bloom it since I got it over a year ago, I am pretty excited. It has grown a couple of p-bulbs for me, but only started spiking when I moved it into bright light. To give you some idea of the light - I have it now hanging just under my standard cattleyas that are hanging in the top of my greenhouse. So, when I say bright light, I do mean bright, but not direct.

    Good luck with yours!

    Cheers,
    BD

Thanks for the info, Bruce! Light may be my problem.

Sorry for the hijack, Vincent. Back to your beautiful bulbo.

I have a Thai spider which is spiking right now too. It started spiking when the temperature starts to dip recently. I keep them really moist, watering them once a day and fert it lightly twice a week. They receive practically no sun. Relative humidity here hovers above 90 everyday.

The cold weather is sending the bulbos into flowering frenzy.

    Cheers
    Vincent
