Default Bulbophyllum echinolabium X Bulbophyllum rothschildianum

One of those fancy meaningless hybrid from the nursery. I have one plant with the same parentage and it is budding with flowers now too.

I like this flower, though it looks like its sticking its tongue out at any one that's looking at it. Great red color. AL

    Hi Vincent,

Never were truer words written - fancy meaningless hyrid.

Don't know that meaningless is a word I would use -- I find it a rather interesting flower, myself.

Haha, i collected more species Bulbophyllums than hybrids and I think species has its unique charm. However, I do like all mastersianum crosses, especially Lion King and Thai spider.

    Hi Pavel,

The intention of a hybrid is for the progeny to be an improvement of the parents. The meaningless hybrid illustrated above is not an improvement of either parent.
