Very cool bloom! I have always liked this orchid. The photo makes the bloom look so large, but in my experience, it is not so large as this appears.

I have seen this species in the Philippines and the flowers are up to 25 cm (10 inches) long. It is known to occur in northern Mindanao.

The flower in the pic is around that length from top to tip.
