Default Brown Spots on Jade Plant

This Jade plant has been growing well. Over the past month or so I've noticed these spots and they are increasing. Anyone have any idea what they are or how to treat?

Looks like either a bug chewing on the plant or scaring from some other damage. Do the spots get any larger?

    Cheers,

We have lots of succulents...particularly crassulas. Jade is a crassula. They are very prone to scarring...those spots that you are showing look very much like typical scarring from mechanical damage. Anything from a slight scratch or cold air can result in spots like those. I don't worry about ours at all. In fact, I encourage rough growth. The thing that I like most about a crassula is its architectural look...and that gets more and more apparent with hard, rough growing.

I'm not sure if they are increasing in size, I just know the amount has increased. I can't think of anything that I've done to the plant that would cause damage. It's with my other plants and they are fine. It gets the same treatment it has gotten only I've watered it a little less in the winter. I'll keep an eye on it. I haven't lost any leaves and it is still growing well. I didn't realize they were so sensitive.

Hmmm, I wonder if it could be some sort of mite damage?

I haven't seen any bugs. Except the occasional gnat that I can't seem to get rid of. The jade sits by the orchids and so far those have been good.
