Very nice. There was a time when lasianthera was almost impossible to obtain outside PNG. This must have come via Indonesia?
The lasianthera is very nice. Mine is all brown. I heard it has many variations.
Yes, Mazlan there are many varieties of lasianthera, all of them beautiful, but arguably the most beautiful of the lot is the var 'Sepik Blue' made famous by the then Director of the Port Moresby Botanic Gardens, Mrs Andree Millar in the 1970s'. I remember that the plant found by Mrs Millar near the Sepik River was a gigantic plant, as tall as a man. Thanks to the work of Mrs Millar, the orchid world took notice of the orchids of Papua New Guinea.
Really love the first orchid, Dendrobium taurinum. What wonderful color and shape!
Cheers,
BD
I like Den taurinum and lasianthera too, I'm hoping mine will bloom soon. Thanks Vincent.
I like the Dendrobium lasianthera, it's beautiful horn.
I've always wanted a lasianthera but hard to find here locally.
