My favorite is the large yellow ladyslippers because they remind me of Paph philippinense because of their twisted dark petals.

I was disappointed they had none of those in bloom when I was there.
1. multifloral paphs in section Coryopedilum, especially sanderianum & hybrids, and that incredible new strain of roths.
2. long-petalled phrag species
3. big vinicolor paphs, white complex paphs, solid red phrags
4. big fragrant bench-consuming "macro"catts
5. all other paphs & phrags
Hm, Jason, you aren't in to slippers too much, are ya?
You know, I wasn't always this way. I started off with the big fragrant catts and a big dinner plate vanda or two. I used to hate paphs, no joke. But you know as they say, once you go paph, you don't go back?
Believe it or not, I used to hate Phrags BIG time and promised myself that I would never waste my money on those plants but boy, was I so wrong?
LOL! You did? That is so hard to believe!
Jason - isn't it funny how one moves on...I thought I was really into the catts too at the beginning, but now I am wondering where else I could put them so I could grow more paphs and phrags! Hopeless!
My love affair w/ phals and dends was terribly fleeting. Ended in a flash almost as soon as it had begun.
Heather, you're showing symptoms of a Paph and Phrag addiction. Do you need help? I don't think so.
Hey, you've BEEN helping me!
