    Default Green Tree Frog

Here's a pic I took today of a green tree frog in my greenhouse. Between the tree frogs and lizards I have great insect control. I also have been finding baby preying mantises everywhere, unfortunately they will probably turn into a lizard or frog meal.

I always did like frogs and lizards. What fine and practical mascots you have got. AL

Great shot of that little cutie. I'm a green tree frog freak, I just love them. But here we can only find them in north Queensland. It seems like your greenhouse is more like a vivarium, it's a real ecosystem.

Very cool! I have loads of lizards not frogs though..saw a couple of toads but doubt they can climb up my sleepers to stand guard over my orchids!

We have those beautiful frogs here in Texas, too; And we also have lots of green anole lizards which are wonderful in my gardens for insect control! Betty :-)

I wish we had more frogs like this here. We have some cute grey trey frogs that often attach themselves to the window screens on the kitchen windows in the summer. They like to be there to catch the bugs that are drawn to the light in the window. Around our pond we have lots of bull-frogs. I remember when we first moved here, LJA heard them outside one night through the closed windows and thought someone had a dying cow. haha... They get pretty loud - especially when it is going to rain.

Thanks for sharing this cute frog, Shane. I love the photo and your new avatar shot.

    Cheers,
    BD
