All the breeders have rushed to cross hsinying with anything else in flower at the same time ; for me, this is not an improvement on either parent.
I don't want to be negative, but I suggest that you look out for either parent, = faiirrienum or hsingying ,boith are beautiful orchids , flower them , and tell me that you don't agree with me...

I am sure you are right, but I could only get what I could find at the time. I am concerned with my climate in South Florida, but I will look for the others.

Paphs will grow well in Florida - at least, two good friends of mine had a paph nursery near Disneyland for some years, and they grew some very good plants indeeed.

P.fairrieanum can be a pig to grow, I've never kept one alive for more than a few years - but hybrids are always easier, so if you are new to paphs, the one you have got is better for you, whatever anyone ( including me) says in comparing the hybrid with its parents.

    Thanks Bruce!

Geoff, with what I have seen of your orchids I am surprised there are some you have problems with. If I lived close to you I would be offering to help when you repot so I could get a few for my own collection....

I really like this one. I have it myself and like it for its ease of bloom and care. Sometimes the newer crosses may not be as great as the parent but still bring pleasure in growing them and enjoying their blooms.

Every orchid I have I enjoy watching no matter the parent but I will look into what Geoff suggested, always room for more and I have decided that I would like some more Paph's so why not, it's only money.

I have another Paph that I bought at the same time as this one it needs another day or two to be fully opened, I will post that here when it is ready.

Geoff, I have been to London several times for a day or two only, but never made it down to the south coast, maybe next trip...

    Thanks all!!

Here is the other Paph that I was waiting to open, it took a litle longer then I thought it would and then I was in the middle of repotting in my spare time so computer time was less then normal.
