These are tricky even for the "experts". I used to grow them from seed and had some luck with bringing them out of their dormancy and reblooming them, but it was kind of hit and miss from year to year.

If the foliage is all yellow now, keep the plant in the pot and store it dry and cool until about mid July. Around that time, you should see new growth starting. These rot very easily, so make sure when you do start watering again to avoid watering the corm. Water around it.

Maybe we should give them the last rites now lol . I always manage to water the ones that should not be . Oh before I forget I mentioned mini Cannas at Lowes in another thread , they are short and blooming , but reading the tag not listed as minis . Thanks for the info. it is appreciated , when they go roots up I won't feel bad . G

Forgot to tell you one thing. When the foliage turns yellow, pull it away from the corm, don't cut it away. This is what I've always been told and have also read. I think the reason is pulling it away doesn't leave any stubs that could hold water and rot the corm. It's about the only explanation I can think of.

My sister and I race each other each Christmas to see who can kill theirs the fastest. The sick part is we're really trying to keep them happy...
